What to Do After Your CBSE Board Exams (Class 10 and Class 12)

A sensible plan for the months after CBSE board exams, covering rest, stream choice, entrance exams, skills, documents and preparing for results.

You've finished. Take a real break, then use the rest of the time well.

Week 1: rest

Sleep, see friends and do things you've postponed. You've earned it.

After Class 10

  • Choose your stream carefully: interest, aptitude and the routes it opens. See which stream after Class 10.
  • Get a head start on Class 11 basics in your chosen stream.
  • Build a skill: coding, a language, writing, design or a sport.

After Class 12

  • Entrance exams: JEE, NEET, CUET and others. Make a plan for the remaining weeks.
  • Applications: shortlist colleges and note deadlines.
  • Documents: keep your admit card safe until results, and set up DigiLocker for your marksheet.

Before results

Note the result dates and the timeline for re-evaluation and supplementary exams, so you can act quickly if needed.
