CBSE Class 10 Study Plan 2026-27: Month-by-Month Until the Boards
A month-by-month CBSE Class 10 study plan from October 2026 to the February 2027 boards, with weekly targets, revision and mock test milestones.
This plan assumes your school will finish most of the syllabus by December and that the boards start in mid-February, as in recent years. Adjust the months if your school is ahead or behind.
October: close the gaps
- List every chapter in every subject and mark it green (confident), amber (shaky) or red (not studied).
- Finish the red chapters taught so far, using NCERT first.
- Solve previous year questions for each chapter as you complete it.
November: syllabus plus half-yearly lessons
- Keep pace with school teaching. Don't let new chapters pile up.
- Analyse your half-yearly paper: where did the marks go?
- Start a formula sheet (Maths, Science) and a key-terms sheet (SST).
December: finish the syllabus
- Target: every chapter studied at least once by 31 December.
- Weekly: one chapter-wise test per subject.
- Begin map practice for SST and writing formats for English.
January: full papers and pre-boards
- At least one full 3-hour paper per subject per week.
- Pre-boards: treat them as the real exam, then fix every error.
- Revise the high-weightage chapters again: Maths, Science, SST.
February: sharpen
- Light revision from your sheets and error log.
- One paper every two to three days in your weakest subjects.
- Sleep 7–8 hours. Memory consolidates during sleep.
