How to Score 95+ in CBSE Class 10 Maths (Standard), a Board-Paper Strategy
How to score 95+ in CBSE Class 10 Maths Standard, using the highest-weightage chapters from real board papers, step-marking habits and a timed-practice routine.
Class 10 Maths is one of the most scoreable papers, because it's objective and step-marked. The students who score 95+ aren't always the "maths people". They're the ones who practised the most real questions.

The 5 habits that get to 95+
- Every NCERT example and exercise, including the "optional" ones. Board questions are often close to them.
- Show every step. The marking scheme gives marks for the formula, the substitution and the working.
- A formula sheet per chapter, revised daily in the last month.
- Previous year questions chapter-wise, then full papers. About 16% of Class 10 Maths board questions from 2022–2026 were asked again in near-identical form in a different year. See repeated questions
- Timed full papers: about 20 minutes for Section A, and never more than 10 minutes on one question.
Common mark-losers
- arithmetic slips in long calculations: check them in your 15-minute buffer
- missing "∴" conclusions in proofs
- not drawing the figure in Heights & Distances and geometry questions
- wrong units, or no units, in mensuration
