CBSE Board Exam 2027 Date Sheet: What to Expect and How to Plan

When the CBSE 2027 board exams are likely to start based on recent years, when the date sheet usually comes out, and how to plan your revision around it.

CBSE publishes the official date sheet on cbse.gov.in, usually a few months before the exams. Until it's out, here's what recent years suggest and how to plan.

What recent years suggest

  • Start: the main board exams have started in mid-February in recent years.
  • Timing: papers usually start at 10:30 AM, with 15 minutes of reading time from 10:15.
  • Gaps: major subjects often have gaps of a few days between them, especially in Class 12.

Treat this as a planning guide only. Use the official date sheet once it's released.

How to plan before the date sheet

  • Aim to finish the syllabus by December.
  • Plan January for full papers and pre-boards.
  • Don't assume big gaps: prepare every subject to exam level by early February.

Once the date sheet is out

  1. Write every paper date on a calendar.
  2. For each gap, plan: sheets and weak chapters, then one full timed paper, then rest the evening before.
  3. Put your weakest subjects where you have the longest gaps.
