Best Free App for CBSE Class 10 Preparation in 2027 (No Hidden Charges)

If you're searching for a free app for CBSE Class 10, you've probably met the usual catch: the first chapter is free, then everything useful sits behind a subscription. Here's what a genuinely free app should give you, and how to check before you sign up.

What a Class 10 board prep app actually needs

You don't need hundreds of hours of video. In the final months you need four things:

1. Real board questions. CBSE's own previous year papers are the best guide to what will be asked.
2. Official answers. CBSE's marking schemes show exactly what earns marks.
3. Chapter-wise practice. You should be able to practise just Trigonometry or just Electricity on a given day.
4. Full mock papers. Timed, in the board pattern, with an answer key so you can check yourself.

How to spot hidden charges

Before you install anything, check:

• Does it ask for card or UPI details for a "free trial"? Trials that auto-renew are the most common trap.
• Are solutions or PDFs "locked"? Free questions with paid answers aren't free.
• Is there a daily limit on tests or downloads?
• Are there ads between questions? Ads cost you focus, even if they don't cost money.

Where BoardPrep fits

BoardPrep is built around those four needs, and it is completely free:

• 192 CBSE board papers from 2022–2026, plus the 2026-27 sample papers, split into 7,694 single questions
• The official marking-scheme answer shown after you attempt each question (6,488 questions have one)
• Chapter-wise practice for Maths (Standard and Basic), Science, Social Science, English, Hindi A and B, and Computer Applications
• Unlimited board-pattern mock papers as PDFs with answer keys
• A study tracker, streaks and the Pattern Challenge leaderboard

There's no paid plan, no trial, no ads and no card details. It's a web app, so you install it from your browser without the Play Store, and it uses very little storage.

Other free resources worth using

• NCERT textbooks: free on ncert.nic.in. They are the base of every board paper.
• CBSE sample papers: free on cbseacademic.nic.in, and also linked on our sample papers page.
• Your school's pre-boards: treat them as full rehearsals.

A free app won't do the work for you, but combined with NCERT it's all most students need. Start with the Class 10 important chapters for Maths and work outward.
